Coaching to Say Complex Ideas Simply

One of the biggest challenges facing the high tech sector is speaking simply about how technology can provide business solutions. Since 1986, Speechworks has been working with high tech companies, helping them connect with business leaders that don’t know anything about technology. Our book “Even A Geek Can Speak: Low-Tech Presentation Skills for High Tech People” details simple ideas for speaking effectively about complex things.

Case Study

A sales manager at a software firm wanted his account reps to be able to deliver a simple message to high level decision makers. We worked with the sales manager to create a basic “template” presentation to be used in most of their presentations. Then we coached the participants in how to use that presentation.

The training involved coaching the participants in how to modify the basic presentation for specific clients and how to deliver the message in a way that connects.
