Shakara Jennings is a professional development specialist and instructional designer who enjoys designing and delivering content to adult learners. She has spent the last 15 years sharing her expertise nationwide with both educators and development professionals in the nonprofit sector. She began this work at Georgia State University in the educator training department before launching her own consulting company to work with educators in new capacities beyond the state of Georgia. She also spent 5 years leading the Learning and Development team at Teach for America to create a comprehensive professional development program for staff.
She is a 3-time graduate of Georgia State University, holding a bachelor's, master's, and specialist's degrees in education. Her background gives her a unique specialty in adult learning, content creation, and effective communication, which allows her to easily connect with and coach clients. Her passion for helping others develop and unlock their potential is what excites her about her role as a communication coach at Speechworks.
